A little about me
I love to teach and be a positive influence on young people's lives. I graduated from UGA with a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from UGA in 2000. I went directly on to finishing my Masters in Math Education in 2001. I taught at Central Gwinnett High School for 3 years and then took a semester off to play drums for a band. Although loads of fun and hard work, I had to decide between having a family and being in a band. I then went back to teaching and took a job at Grayson High School. I taught there for six and half years. I have been at BHS since 2012. I have taught a large range of classes:
Algebra 1
Concepts of Problem Solving (9th grade math)
Accelerated Integrated Algebra (Accel. Math 1)
Integrated Algebra Strategies
Geometry
Integrated Geometry (Math 2)
Advanced Algebra & Trigonometry
Math 3
PreCalculus (Math 4)
Accelerated PreCalculus (Accel Math 3)
Elementary Statistics
Statistical Reasoning
AP Statistics
I have two beautiful daughters, Ella and Lily and a wonderful son Eric. My wife, Candice, (you should ask about my engagement, really cool story; too long to type here) was a piano major and became a elementary music teacher before we had children. I love to play the drums, go hiking and backpacking, and play with my kids.
